Milan attacker Clarence Seedorf expressed his satisfaction at the emphatic nature of the side’s 4-0 victory over Parma at San Siro on Saturday evening.
The former Dutch international set the tone for the win by opening the scoring early in the contest, and his effort was added to by a Robinho double and a strike by Antonio Cassano, who turned in a man-of-the-match display.
Speaking to Sky Italia after the match, the veteran said he was pleased to secure such a routine win with Tottenham awaiting in the Champions League in midweek.
He remarked: “I’m happy things went well. It is important for the team that we have recorded this convincing victory, with many goals in a very nice atmosphere, which gives us great charge going forward in the league.
“I think that was also the best way to prepare for the match on Tuesday. I always said that there is great affection between me and the fans.”
